The Sunday Reserve team was born out of the ambition to continue the success of the Sunday first team. Managed by the talented local coach Joe Stackable, the team was built with players familiar from his coaching days at our youth partner Club Harold Wood Cougars along with some older heads to add a bit of experience.
Despite a challenging debut season in The Brentwood Sunday League Division 3, where they narrowly avoided relegation, Joe and his team bounced back stronger for the following season.
Under Joe's guidance, they triumphed in the Division 3 League Cup, marking their first taste of silverware.
After Joe's departure, the managerial baton was passed to Josh Portway, a familiar face whose family ties with the club run deep. With Josh at the helm and bolstered by new recruits, the team enjoyed a successful 2024/25 season, finishing as Runners up and clinching promotion.
For the 2025/26 season, the Sunday Reserves were promoted to the Brentwood Sunday League Division 1 at the time of updating this bio, Led by Josh and his teammates they have already secured the prestigious Essex FA Sunday Junior Cup and are currently doing well in the league, sitting in second place.
