The Wood Vets emerged victorious in the Essex Veterans League Division One Cup after defeating Walthamstow Vets at Aveley FC on Friday evening..

Danny Gillard set the tone early on with a goal on 5 minutes, followed by another goal around the half-hour mark to double the Wood lead.
The second half saw a more even game, but it was Martin Touhy's 80th-minute goal, his 32nd of the season, that sealed the victory for Wood.
Congratulations to Lee Millar, Glen Golby, and all involved on their winning performance in the Final.
