The Club is sad to announce that on Friday, Russell Grainger the Club Chairman, John Field the 1st Team Manager & Mattie Donovan the 1st Team Assistant Manager have resigned their positions from the Club.

Russell has been Chairman of the Club for many years and has been a great figure head & inspiration to many people during this time. During his tenure the Club has enjoyed many successful seasons. Before becoming Chairman he played for the Club at every level for many years before hanging up his boots & was also 1st Team Manager for a period.

John returned to the Club three seasons ago as 1st Team Manager and was successful in getting the team promoted back into the EOFL Premier Division & retaining their status in the Division for the last 2 seasons.
His dedication & enthusiasm is infectious to all those around him & his desire to recruit better players to the Cub has to be applauded. John also has a long standing connection to the Club having previously playing for us & managing the 1st Team.
His Dad had also previously been 1st Team Manager along with his brothers who both played for the Club for many years.

Mattie has been 1st Team Player more recently the Assistant Manager during the last couple of seasons & has been a 1st Team player at the Club for over 10 years now winning several trophies and also fulfilling role as 1st Team Captain. A great character on & off the pitch he has been a loyal servant to the Club.

The Club wishes Russell, John & Mattie all the best for the future & enormous thanks for their contributions to the Club over many years.
There will always be a warm welcome to all of them back at The Wood.
